Her role as KGB Agent Elizabeth Jennings on FX's The Americans has also been recognized. She was nominated for both the Primetime Emmy Award and the Golden Globe Award. Russell has appeared in films like Extraordinary measures and Mission Impossible III Augustrushed. She was a student at Highlands Ranch High School. She developed an interest in acting when she was a teen and decided to pursue the field professionally. Russell is famous however, she's also known for being a person who's remained grounded.
