Harry Edward Styles or Harry Styles as he is known to the world of pop music, is a British composer and singer. Harry Styles belongs to the band One Direction. His parents were Des Styles and Anne Cox. Harry Styles was born on 1st February 1994, in Holmes Chapel, Cheshire. Harry Styles attended the Holmes Chapel Comprehensive school, where together with three students, he formed his own group of musicians, called White Eskimo. The group was part of the Battle of Bands where thanks to their excellent presentations they were winners. He was always interested in music, but he was enthused to be a lawyer or physical therapy. He was employed in the local bakery for a few hours to support his family financially. Harry Styles performed Is not She Lovely (Stevie Wonder) during the auditions in 2010 in The X Factor. Because of this, his band needed to be disbanded. Following the audition on The X Factor the jury Nicole Scherzinger suggested that Harry Styles join a future band that would be called One Direction along with Liam Payne Zayn Malik Niall Horan and Louis Tomlinson. The group's creation took place in the year 2010. The five members were supported by Simon Cowell. The band of five was backed by Cowell, and they were the first to sing Kelly Clarkson's My Life Would Suck without You and Bonnie Tyler's Total Eclipse of the Heart. They were one of the top contenders in the contest. But they came in third, behind Rebecca Ferguson. Harry Styles, his group as well as Cowell did not get the win in the contest. But Cowell offered Harry Styles a 2 million pound contract to sign up with Syco.
